Meet the Fresh Gear C40 machine

The C40 machine (pictured below) uses ozone pumped deep into your hockey, lacrosse and football equipent to kill bacteria and disinfect your equipment.  The C40 directs ozone directly into the equipment to sanitze your gear.

Bacterial infections found within sports equipment present a danger to the athlete who wears it.  The Center for Disease Control and Prevention identifies the 5 ways bacteria and infections spread:

Sports equipment provides an ideal breeding ground for bacteria and infections.  A combination of perspiration, mucus, blood and dirt in athletes protective padding can become a breeding ground for staph and strep infections including MRSA .  MRSA is a form of a staph infection that is resistant to the Methicillin family of antibiotics.
